Teardrops mixed in with blood drops. He’d vowed everything to never drink blood straight from a human, yet morality seemed to deny him. He couldn’t lose another friend, not his best friend, so he bit again, desperate to give life to the fading heartbeat.
Supernatural micro fiction written in the first half of February.
“You mean someone chose this hell deliberately?”
“I did.”
“He backpedaled, “I didn’t realize-”
“My mother was dead, and he was my only family. What other choice did I have?”
“It isn’t choosing if you felt it was the only option.”
